Wolfenstein: Youngblood launch issues

That cannot be an issue for me since I always clean install my Nvidia drivers because of a previous incident with them being incapable of making good drivers. I absolutely hate this type of software handling. In this particular case the game does not even give me an error code, just the phrase "game crashed". I am very experienced with Windows platforms and since I saw that there is no error code, I thought maybe I could find some crash dump in the game files, until I saw that the location of the games from the Xbox app is not even under my ownership (basically I don't own a folder on my OWN PERSONAL COMPUTER) , and I cannot think of any reason why. If it's for security reasons, well they failed since I got into that folder and could edit it after messing around for 15 minutes. The state developers are headed in a sense of code for games is truly, and I mean truly awful. Give me a goddamn error code or if you really don't want me digging around the game files allow me to report it (the Xbox app does not have that feature yet.) I was very disappointed in the way that this played out, and was expecting more from the developers of an operating system that was once great and easy to use.

I have never had this game installed on my system. It is an Asus TUF FX505DU with a Ryzen 3750H CPU and a 1660ti Mobile GPU, 16Gb of ram etc. All my drivers are up to date.

Hello everyone I found a solution.

This issue will appear on any modern mid-range to low-range laptop with nvidia graphics that also has any integrated graphics card. This game runs on the Vulkan api and while you have your intergrated graphics it will never allow Vulkan to start. What you have to do is completely disable you Integrated graphics card in the device manager. This will come at a cost of battery life, but is the only solution to make this game start at all. This is entirely Nvidia's fault in regards to their lazy gpu building process and poor driver delivery...

I'm not 100% sure what the issue could be then. The only information I can find about this is error is from the Steam version of the game. And the only fixes were regarding graphics drivers.

Even if your driver is fully installed and up to date it may still have issues. You could try removing it via DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). It's best that you download the latest driver first and store it on your PC, then run DDU, then install your graphics driver again after the reboot.

DDU is straightforward to use. Unzip and run the application. Select your Nvidia driver and select 'Clear and Restart'. After reboot, install the driver you downloaded earlier.

Other than that I'm not sure. Game Pass PC can have a number of flaws in its implementation so far. Which is one of the reasons I no longer use it. It's great on console, just not so great on PC.

I had the same problem, its not the nvidia driver issue rather amd's. all you have to do is install AMD adrenalin and install the driver and you are good to go!
