Wolfenstein: The New Order hands-on - reclaiming a classic

I think I must have been feeling uber grumpy last time I played it, cos the level I played last night I really enjoyed.

 

Caved in and got this & have to say i'm really enjoying it as well.

Definately "old school" in gameplay etc..

 

Some of the easter eggs and little details scattered around are brilliant!

Love it when developers go out of their way to add things like this : )

Blascowicz (not sure if i've spelt that correctly!) has some great lines too!!

 

I can confirm you can play the last chapter on uber from the chapter select after finishing the game and it will unlock the acheivements.

A very easy strategy for the final boss when you drop down the hole go under the stairs to the right and crawl under and use them as cover just keep shooting your rockets and throwing the grenades as he walks towards you. Very easy takes about 20 seconds
to kill him.

 

Was tempted to get this but im managing to resist at the moment

 

Completed it today and got all the achievements, yeah I also did the last level on Uber. Left it a bit open after the credits I think for DLC.

 

Currently at the beginning of chapter 12 and still loving the gameplay but looking forward to completing the game, mopping up and trading in towards Watch_Dogs. Still struggling to slide and kill people at the same time though!

 

Playing this at the moment and its absolutely fantastic. My only beef is the graphics in very few places. For example, I look on the floor and see a spoon and some paper, kneel down and its almost 16bit lol. With that aside, it really is a cracking experience.

 

I just need to get the collectables for the full gamerscore and then I can trade in Tuesday and trade it in. It was worth a buy and getting the doom beta is a bonus.

 

That's me got every achievement this morning. Can confirm if you play just the final level on UBER you get the achievement(s) for the full game. If your interested in that I'd get on it quick cause no doubt it will be patched.

I ran through it on UBER and struggled all this time. I am not even 50% through lol Well done for clearing it though you guys and maxing the G

 

Man, this game just gets better and better! Each level feels different to the one before it and some of the things you end up doing I honestly wasn't expecting! some hard hitting stuff too - chapter 8 in particular!

Still got three more chapters to play through, but I really do love this game!

 

Finally got the 1000 gamerscore and now i can trade in 2moro towards watchdogs

 

Great game that I'm enjoying playing through at my leisure and shall enjoy replaying the game many times over at my leisure as well.

 

How many hours does it take to do a single playthrough?
