Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

My first suggestion would be to check with Bethesda/ID on their forums to see if it's a known issue, could be something really simple such as a missing file or perhaps just something that needs tweaking in the game files to get it run on your PC.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't use Geforce Experience, I think its just blootware in my opinion.

I tried your solution, completely removed my drivers and all nVidia software and did a full clean install of the most recent drivers.

But sadly the error persists.

As I mentioned in my original post, as far as I know I have all the Vulkan files listed in my windows folders. So they are present.

Tomorrow I'll test DOOM on Vulkan API to see if that runs and I might install Tomb Raider, see if that works.

UPDATE: I got it working!

So I tried Doom on openGL, worked perfect, switched to Vulkan and it crashed.

So it definitely are my Vulkan drivers, but what ever I tried I couldn't get them to update.

The only way I got it working was a clean Windows install with fresh drivers and redownloading everything, a huge pain in the ass but at least now I know Vulkan works!

In order to fix this issue, you need to update your graphics drivers and Vulkan libraries that are included in the default bundle:

• Download the latest drivers for NVIDIA graphics cards

Players have reported that it is better to completely remove the old drivers and install the new ones using the Device Manager in your Control Panel, instead of using the nVidia's GeForce Experience software that simply overwrites the old files.

Try this and let us know.

Sadly this didn't bring me any new results, all their resolution page says is:

- update gpu drivers, already done.

- disable nvidia Shadowplay, (which i haven't event got installed)

- and disable Steam overlay, but i'm running it for Xbox (BETA). so yeah...
