Wolfenstein 3D rights issue (not showing up in XBO library)

So, I noticed that I didn't have Wolfenstein 3D in my Ready to Install section of my Xbox One's digital library but I had everything else I was expecting. Long story short, I was able to intuitively figure out what went wrong. I bought the game back in 2009/2010
when it was published under Activision. It has since been acquired and re-published under Bethesda / ZeniMax and was de-listed and re-listed. Apparently they didn't honor rights for anybody that bought it before 5/31/2013 when it was re-listed by Bethesda
/ ZeniMax. Similar thing happened with Doom and Doom 2, de-listed and re-listed again, went from Activision to Bethesda just the same, except they didn't mess up de-listing and re-listing rights and they showed up when BC update happened.

Anyhow, I called the 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they credited me so I could re-purchase the game thankfully, but this is still going to be an issue for anybody else that purchased Wolfenstein 3D before the 5/31/2013 re-listing, that's 4 years worth of people buying
it that are getting cheated here.

Just thought I'd offer this explanation so anybody else looking into why they don't see Wolfenstein 3D in their Ready To Install section of their digital library know why that is. And hopefully Microsoft pays mind to try to remedy the situation as surely
they can't afford to refund everyone who bought it like they did for me.

Hi, Microsoft are aware of this, and are trying to get the Activision version on there asap!

 

Xbox support told me I didn't have any proof that I owned that or any other games purchased around the same time.

 

SonicRobotnik, try looking for the game in your xbox 360 download history here
live.xbox.com/.../History if it's not there, then you may have purchased the games using a different account.

 

It's in my history. I've also deleted and redownloaded with no trouble on my 360.

Strangely customer support couldn't see what I see on that page, just like SonicRobotnik says happened to him.

 

Yeah they basically denied my history and said I had no proof. At the time, you used points so I have an email where I purchased points but not the actual game.

 

I have the same problem.

Support says they can't see my license, but it shows up no problem on my 360 purchase history online and on my 360 itself.

So they didn't refund anything for me.

 

What's more annoying is that they won't escalate it.

Yeah...this happened to me too. I spent over two hours on chat last weekend trying to explain that I thought this was, and that it was in my "xbox download history," but since my "Microsoft purchase history" for some reason cuts off sometime in late-2012
they couldn't do anything and suggested I "visit the forums" or "call and ask for a manager right away." This game also doesn't come up as "already purchased" on the store and just gives me the option to buy it again.

I did think it was strange that W3D was causing this issue but the Doom games that I have, and bought back in 2009 too, are working fine.
