    Hello All,

    Can somebody tell me if the HDMI port on the xbox one is naturally quite loose/wobbly, the reason i ask is that when i switch my console on i sometimes get a black screen which requires me to wobble the cable around slightly to get the picture, now if something
    knocks the stand it sits on even slightly (i.e. the cat rubbing against it) then the screen goes black again requiring another adjustment, when i'm adjusting the cable it seems very loose compared to say my Xbox 360 and my gf's PS3.

    So my ultimate question is should i get this replaced? Or are the ports just meant to be this loose on this machine?

    Lastly please keep in mind this console is a few weeks old so there is no way the HDMI slot has gone loose from the wear and tear of putting the cable in and out over time.

    P.S. Tha cable is the one that came in the box with the console but other cables i've tried are also as loose when I tried them.

    Someone please help me my hdmi port is not working i plugged the hdmi into my ps3 and it works i called microsoft and they did not help and i am trying to find a way to fix it without having to spend money. PLEASE HELP ME

    Sorry about the HDMI port issue. From what you have described I would recommend replacing the console. Are you within the return policy with the retailer you purchassed from? If so I would recommend swapping the console through the retailer you purchased
    from. If you are outside the return policy, you can set up a repair with a phone or chat support agent through our
    Contact Us page, or you can visit the

    Is streaming your xbox series x/s possible in a laptop?

    Is the HDMI port on your laptop an HDMI in port or just an HDMI out port? Most laptops only have an HDMI out port if anything. You cannot get video in if you only have an HDMI out port.

    Hmm, this is interesting. The most likely cause of the problem is using a dodgy HDMI cable. In a few "expensive" brands the plugs tend to develop a bad connection with the cable itself. Are your cable terminators solidly connected to the cable or do the

    Hello C0nd1t10nR3D,



    How the Xbox One works with being able to control the TV is that the Xbox One has a HDMI In port and a HDMI Out port. If a person had a cable set-top box, they would take the HDMI cable from that and plug it into the HDMI In port on the Xbox One, and then
    connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Out port and connect that to the TV.



    In your case, I think it could only work if your TV had both a HDMI Out port and a HDMI In port. If this is the case, which I don't ever think I've heard of a thing for just a TV (I guess it could be possible), then you would go from the TV's HDMI Out port
    to the Xbox One's HDMI In port and from the Xbox One's HDMI Out port to the TV's HDMI In port.
