Could it pick up your finger movements for a rock band / guitar hero game .

MS has made a lot out of K2 so I expect reviews to be quite heavily based on whether the reviewer thinks K2 works as well as intended. The PS4 power will undoubtedly be mentioned, comparisons are part of reviews; but I don't think it will used as a hammer
to bash X1.

 

What is the uproar for privacy concerns over Kinect as compared to any other device?

Yes. I believe Kinect is sensitive enough to pick up finger movements.

That would take the Rock Band/Guitar hero/Rocksmith games to another level!!

The Kinect would come into its own then!

it does pick up finger movements but to the point where speed and accuracy matter on a rockband where you it seems like you want to score bonus points of accurate chords... probably not...

I was watching a cover of zz tops grange on you tube , which was just a close up of a dude playing a guitar ..

Playing along on my " air guitar " , I thought it would be awesome to use K2 for a rock band game , without the need for plastic guitars or drums.

 

It picks it up but I don't think (like hell said) it is accurately fast enough to detect that sort of speed in a game like that. Besides, don't they make a mind on those funny guitars? (not played one myself).
