I understand your concern. You can follow the steps provided in the support site to get help for a damaged code.

2. Proceed to "Get help with a damaged or unreadable code" section.

3. Click on the link provided there to start a chat with support.

Make sure to take a picture of the front and back of the card, and have proof of purchase such as a picture of the receipt.

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you purchase any gift card through rewards, it will be added to that account. Also same for buying digital codes, there is a way but you must make sure to select digital code. The easiest way would be to add the card on
the child account purchase the item or currency on his account. The other alternative is when you are out again, at any place that sells gift cards you can purchase one there. Just checked online you need to select Xbox gift card digital code. Here is a link

Unfortunately, there are no other ways to replace a gift card that has been damaged.
