With activision being obtained, can we get a proto type three????

There’s also the question of the spiderman games! Activision I believe holds the rights don’t they? So can’t we get the old spiderman games to run on our new systems? I’m a huge spiderman fan and I’ve been waiting for the game to be able to be played on the Xbox for ages.

And can we get insomniac (tony hawk) to help out with that project? Last time he worked on web of shadows, the game reached an amazing height of mechanics and inventive turn of events.

And soul reaver! Oh my god the day this game becomes a game we can have as a remaster from the beginning to end would be a treat for people from back in the day.

And conker! Oh that would be an amazing game to see a remake.

sony owns the movie rights but they have to go through activision to obtain the game rights from my understanding. There’s a lot of reasons why Sony doesn’t want the deal to go through but they don’t want to blurt all their secrets and it’s best that the general public doesn’t know because the deal could be pushed through if they did. Activision I believe are the only ones who are able to obtain the game rights at the moment. I know that it was the only reason they utilized activision to make the games. Activision holds the rights to a lot of different characters as well from my understanding since they obtained radical (a company from canada) which made games like the terminator, prototype, and Spyro. Activision is really a good buy for Xbox honestly due to all the games they can release back to us the public that hasn’t been released for ages and make them available for everyone through game pass. And I am aware of the deal not being through yet but I am super confident it will be soon!

I understand you wanted to have those old games to be playable on the new generation consoles.

We do not have any news yet as to the games to be added as backwards compatibility but we may still have more to come.

Those games are really great to have remakes though and it may be depending on the demand if we get them included in the future of games.

As you were told 4 days ago the backwards compatibility program has ended & no more games will be added.

The Activision deal hasn't been confirmed yet.

Sony owns the rights to publish the Spiderman games now so there's little chance the old Activision ones would get remade & if they aren't backwards compatible now then they wont be.

Been wanting a new Soul Reaver/Kain game for years & the Conker games are still owned by Rare i believe,which Microsoft owns so maybe one day a new Conker game will be made.
