In regards to the Hearts of Stone DLC it should be awesome. It's interesting to note that it will not be a continuation, but a separate story altogether. I love this bit.

When developer CD Projekt Red released "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" this year, the company also assured fans that the new title will come with expanded content via both free and paid DLCs. Now that the free expansion packs have already made their way into
the game, the developer is now preparing for the first of the two paid DLCs to make its way as expanded "The Witcher 3" content.

The first one, dubbed as the "Hearts of Stone" expansion, will be released on Oct. 13. For the story, it will see "The Witcher" series' main protagonist Geralt going head-to-head with an immortal Man of Glass. Although he couldn't give out specific details,
game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz shared a few tidbits with game industry observer

Gamespot.

Said Tomaszkiewicz, "There's not much I can tell you at this point without spoiling the plot too much. 'Hearts of Stone' is definitely on par with what 'Wild Hunt' established in terms of the depth of characters and story."

The game director also confirmed the rumors that the next expansion for the title will not be a continuation of "Wild Hunt" but rather a new story for "The Witcher 3" fans.

He stressed, "The story told in 'Hearts of Stone' is pretty much standalone from the events that took place in Wild Hunt, so even players who have not finished the game can play."

"Hearts of Stone" is expected to give an expanded view of "The Witcher 3" world, with expanded content rumored to add a conservative estimate of 10 hours' worth of game time. In addition to the main "Hearts of Stone" story, the DLC is also expected to add
new side quests, missions, and monster hunts.

"Hearts of Stone" will be available for $9.99 as a standalone purchase, and will be free for those who already have a "The Witcher 3" $19.99 expansion pass.

Yup! just need them to fix the 'Skellige's most wanted quest' which has been bugged since the last patch - its not part of the main quest, but i'm right at the end of the game (I think?) and this is the last contract I have on my to do list, which I wanna
wrap up before completion!

Just read a little bit more about the expansion - apparently you can play during or after the main game but will need to be lv30 + to start and has around 10hrs worth of content

 

Yep I just read on Twitter that Level 30 is the minimum.

Not only is there loads of new games I want before Christmas, now you start posting about DLC that I really want to play as well.

What was bugged about the most wanted quest Hog? I did it no problem? And great news about the DLC cannot wait for this!

 

Cool.....but even if i'll download it with an extreme pleasure...I won't touch Witcher 3 until next year,after the release of last expansion....Then,new games plus and expansions for over 300 hours.(again).

 

Picked up witcher 3 an season pass on day 1 still not touched it and just recently picked up mad max an metal gear dont know where to start so many great games this year with even more on the way

 

@ Genchy - I'll keep it as spoiler free as possible, but a certain enemy won't die right at the very end

apparently it became bugged for everyone after patch 1.08 but was fine beforehand - they're working on a patch though

 

Gonna start a new game + just to get all the Gwent cards.

 

Yeah,it was one of the free dlc quests.

Sure i'll manage to squeeze a bit more Witcher in between all the other stuff coming out.Might of even finished Mad Max by October lol
