Witcher 3 goty edition achievements not registering

Hello all.

I've beem playing thw witcher 3 game of the year edition for nearly a year now. I just noticed that my achievements are not adding up to my general score (I have 1025/2000 achievement points in the game, but these won't add to my general achievement score).
Moreover, when trying to access the game official club I get "that didn't work". On the console as well as the app. Thus I can't access any stats (hours played etc.). All other games work fine. Please help...

Just so everyone gets a better understanding of the issue I have posted photos on a similar thread just a few moments ago.

Please search for the following on the forums, 'Witcher 3 goty edition achievements not registering', a thread created by the user Udiwidi.

It amazes me that after 3 weeks of fully trying to explain the issues we are all experiencing, Moderators are still unable to fully understand the issue.

As others have pointed, the thread on CD Projekt Red is related to the PC version, which is entirely separate to what we are experiencing.

Thanks for reaching out to us today! I'd be happy to help.

Achievements for Witcher 3 or the GOTY edition have been a little unstable for a while now and is technically a known issue as there are a number of others that have achievement issues not showing up correctly for this game specifically.

I replied to another
thread here about this and linked a post from CD Projekt Red's Forums about this specific issue and also linked their support page to submit a ticket to them about which achievements are not adding to your total score.

Take a look at that thread and I hope some of the information on there is helpful.

Hi there,

Running into an achievement sync issue is fairly common, thankfully there is a relatively easy troubleshooting step that usually resolves it. If you delete and re-download your profile, it SHOULD resolve the issue. If not please let us know and we can
further troubleshoot from there!!

I have personally contacted CD Projekt Red about this issue and they have said that this is on Microsoft's end.

Is there any update regarding this?

MANY of us are experiencing this issue, all effecting The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition and the achievements.

If you have a problem with not counting your achievements, you can try reinstalling the game. If it does not help, that's the only way.

Reset Xbox One Console to Factory Defaults

In the menu, you will have two options, delete everything, or return to the factory default settings but do not delete anything. Try first the second option, unless it helps only the first one.

We are aware of the issue and it is currently being tracked as we have noticed quite a number of people have been experiencing this same issue.

I wanted to ask some clarifying questions. By any chance are you in the Insider Program for Xbox?

I did some research but was not able to confirm if this is happening on other platforms, so if you have any input whether it is just on Xbox let us know.

Also the game hub and official club for this game are not accessible correct?

Lastly, are the achievements unlocking and the score is just not being added to your total score, or are the achievements not unlocking and therefore you need to do them again?

We want to get to the bottom of this and would appreciate more feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my previous message.

I will answer each question to hopefully give you the details/feedback you are hoping for to help resolve this issue.

I am currently not on the Insider Program for Xbox.

As far as I am aware, this is just happening on Xbox, mainly for The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition, the normal edition/base game seems to be working correctly. Both version being either digital or a physical copy seem to be experiencing the issue.

Both the game hun and the official club are not accessible for The Witcher 3 GOTY, the only time I am able to view the achievements is when I insert the game and press on the Xbox button to view the achievements for the game I have loaded up.

Going to my profile on my Xbox and on the phone by going on recent activity and viewing all achievements, doesn't show any activity of the game or any achievements.

On the Xbox itself and on the Xbox app on my phone, the achievement unlocked and it counted towards my total gamescore. It's just I am unable to view all of my unlocked achievements and progress of the game on the Xbox and the Application. It is acting as
though I have never played the game at all as I cant compare it with my other friends.

For me loading and playing a new game is working correctly, As I have recently started playing Assassins Creed Black Flag, and the achievements and progress are successfully displaying on my profile correctly.

I hope this is enough information for you Diego, if you need a better understanding I can provide photos/screenshots that I took when I first found the issue.

From what I have seen with others posting about this, your information is almost exact to the other descriptions.

Photos and screenshots would be very helpful as well so we can get a visualization of the issue. You did a great job at detailing the issue but pictures will further help us fully understand what to investigate.

Unlocking of an achievement on the game whilst playing it popped up on my Xbox App





Achievements only appear when I load the game and press the xbox button





The first photo is basically the same as how it is on my Xbox console, no form of The Witcher and it's achievements and progress are available for me to see.

I can take a photo of my xbox view if you wish to see.

Thank you for the feedback. I see that if the Witcher 3 GOTY edition was your most recent played game, it should show at the top of that list.

A picture from the Xbox point of view would be appreciated. Also besides the achievements, would you mind showing the issue relating to the game hub or official club where you said you can't see any activity or share anything?
