Witcher 3 Copy to sdd

Hi

I have witcher 3 on disc , i tried copying the game to my ssd to speed up loading times and free up some storage on my xbox one s , but when i launch the game from my ssd is askes me to insert the disk to play the game , so whats the advantages copying the
game to sdd if i still have to use the game disk . or am i missing something ?

if you dont have the digital copy then you need to have the disc in to prove you own the game, all games fully install to the hdd, you can attach external hdd's to give more storage but still need the disc in.

it basically uses the disc to prove ownership, it does not run from the disc though.

Hi,

Piracy. All Xbox games need to installed anyway and the reason you still need the disc is to check you still own it.

Once a game is installed it will run entirely from the drive you install it to, but you still need the disc to authenticate ownership. The disc will only read for a few seconds to do this.
