Witcher 2 only working for me when console is offline....

While online with my Xbox One, Witcher 2 is very glitchy. Cinematics have stutter and constant flashing. And every 3-4 seconds in-game, there are jitters in the framerate and the game is constantly loading. There are terrible bouts of slowdown in combat
as well. I took my console offline as a last resort, started up my game and it worked perfectly fine.

If anyone else is having these problems with Witcher 2, just take the console offline and play it that way.

Getting Booted

I'm not sure where I am supposed to post this but I was just booted offline and Ddosed by a kid with the gamer tag GT:NBA2K36 my first clue that he was a hacker offline was when I saw that he was a prestige master on Black ops 2 when he only had 9000 kills
which is impossible, when I called him out he immediately threatened to boot me offline and attack my personal info through my IP address. I have tried resetting the console and my router but nothing is working the only resolution I can have is if this ***
is permanently cut offline for good and put in jail because he found out where I live and now I am scared that he is going to do more than boot me offline.

 

Make sure you have a open Nat type I have the game and I experience no game play issues you can always try to reinstall the game

 

I did hard resets and reinstalled the game and that didn't work. It only works offline. No other BC game does this on my console.

 

Hey, Mizphit! Are you closing out of all of your apps that are running on your console? I know the stutter can be seen in Live TV if apps aren't closed, so I'm wondering if it's causing the same thing for you. Let us know if that helps you out!

 

Hello! Yes, I close my apps. The problems only go away when I go offline.

If you haven't tried already try a full power cycle by holding the power button for 10 seconds (or until the Xbox One powers off) and then power it back on. Once it's on open only Witcher 2. If you're still having trouble after that please head on over to

sticky thread and run through the steps including the survey at the bottom

 

I've done exactly that too. Power cycled the console, and opened Witcher 2. Even while the game is running, if I go into settings, take the console offline, and go back into the game, the problems go away. Very strange.

Something with the online connectivity is making the game run screwy.
