Wish List for IG - Season 2

^^So don't play it. I swear, you people. A seperate tag mode would appease those of us who want it and does no harm to people who don't. Because you don't care for it those who want it should suffer? Screw that.

 

And to the idea that it's not the "KI way of gameplay", have you been playing the same game I have? KI is all about sustaining combos for high damage. Tagging is a perfect way to naturally extend that concept. With a couple new mechanics added in it would
balace out just fine.

Exactly. OPTION. Not forced. Not mandatory. You don't like it, you don't play it. It's not like the game will suddenly get more expensive or some other detrimental crap.

So, tell me what xbone game am I supposed to play to get my tag fix? I'll wait..........

 

All I am getting is a bunch of people spouting "I don't want that, so you can't have it either.". Not a single person has bothered to put forth a reasonable, debatable opinion. "I don't want it" Is not good enough reason to deny those who do.

 

KI is not a tagteam game sf4 is not a tagteam game

If you want tagteam game buy an x360 or ps3 or wait for a tagteam game on xone in the future

 

That's hardly a sufficient argument. KI is a lot of things now that it wasn't in its previous iterations. It functions differently, has new mechanics and benefits from being released after the genre has grown a couple generations.

I take it you like KI as it is now? If so then you shouldn't be averse to it growing into new directions that fit its core gameplay like a glove. Otherwise you sound like all the ridiculous KI purists who just want more of the same. The very ones who call
this version of the game garbage.

 

And be real, Tekken wasn't a tag game before it was TTT was considered the best of the series as TTT2 widely is now.

MK, also not a tag game. People loved tag mode in MK9.

You don't know what potential greatness you could be trying to prevent, and all for the sake of what? What would adding a tag mode to KI destroy?

 

@ToneSim My primary argument against Tag Team mode in KI is the amount of time and resources that would be involved in reprogramming the combat mechanism to allow for tags and such. It alters the entire combat mechanic. With the fact that it's a smaller
studio developing this game, resources are a legitimate concern and I would prefer more top notch characters and continuing patch supports (which you must admit have struggled to this point). However, if they could produce a tag team mode option without sacrificing
quality on the next 8 characters, then I'm fine with it. I just don't think that they could continue at the same quality if they adjust for a Tag Team mode.

 

I would imagine that the team would not try to deliver a new mode in lieu of putting forth quality character work. I would settle for a tag mode in season 3 if it meant they could accomplish it while still delivering on its base.

 

Like I said, if they can do it without sacrificing overall quality of characters, then I'm fine with it (although I think it would be a more appropriate feature for a possible Killer Instinct 2). Just because I personally wouldn't play tag in a KI environment
doesn't mean that I would begrudge anyone else the option. As long as the fans of this series that have supported and pushed for a Killer Instinct revival for the last 17 years still receive their deserved quality experience, then Tag Team mode away, my friend.
Hopefully, Iron Galaxy will continue where Double Helix left off and try to please as many of their fans as reasonably possible.

 

The plan as we know it is to build upon the current base in the form of "seasons" until it is no longer feasible. "KI 2" or whatever it would be dubbed may be years on years away. I waited long more than long enough for this version so as far as I am concerned
I'm going to ask all that I can of this team to deliver in this iteration of the game.

I agree with most of what has been listed. Bug fixes a must, but I WOULD love to be able to choose the range of who I want to fight in Ranked, like you can in Exhibition. There is nothing like beating several Rank 1 - 3's and getting nothing for it, just
to lose all the XP + a butt load more, after losing one match due to a desync. I much rather play people my Rank or higher. It's worth my while.
