Wireless Xbox One controller freezing my PC when I turn it off.

As it states in the subject, my Xbox One controller is freezing my PC every time I turn it off while its connected to the wireless network adapter. I bought the controller and adapter two months ago and they both worked flawlessly right out of the box. As
of three or four days ago, the controller freezes my PC every time I hold down the Xbox button to turn it off. This only happens while its wireless on the adapter. I've checked the drivers for both the controller and the adapter separately via the device manager
and supposedly both are up to date. Any thoughts?

xbox one controller disconnects after first use

when i turn my pc on and connect my controller it works fine. But if my controller turns off i can't reconnect it until i've restarted my computer. connects only long enough to get one or two button presses. drivers for the controller and wireless adapter
have been reinstalled many times and the controller has been updated on the xbox accessories app

I'm also having this problem, thought it was The Division doing it, but nope it's when i turn off my wireless xbox one controller, hope they fix this soon as it's annoying having to hard restart my pc every time.

There's a work around for this

You have to get the last version of the controllers drivers. Until they fix it.

 

I have this same problem on my windows 10 alienware alpha i5. As soon as I disconnect the xbox elite controller either hard wired / wireless with adapter this happens. All of my usb devices start timing out, also if you detach/reattach, they are no longer
recognized until reboot.
