    Please see the previous locked thread on this issue.

    While using a Wireless Xbox Controller, it turns off after 15 minutes while using it as audio output/input while connected to PC via Xbox Wireless Adapter.

    I'm using the controller as audio output/input only, connected to my headset, and not using it for control input (i.e. while watching a movie, or playing a game with keyboard/mouse, or talking to friends on Discord).

    It should not turn off while in use, even if for audio only. When connected to an Xbox console while watching Netflix, apparently the controller does not turn off. Only when connected to PC or seemingly other applications on console does it have this issue

    Solutions saying that I should plug it in instead are not acceptable this controller was purchased for WIRELESS use.

    This is not a solution. The whole point is I want wireless. Making the wireless controller wired does not help.

    That seems like an odd solution. A much easier solution would be for Microsoft to implement a toggle in their Xbox Accessories PC app to disable this.

    Or to recognize audio input/output as something that resets the 15 minute timer.

    Xbox controllers time out after 15 minutes when in wireless mode if no input has been detected

    There is no way to disable this.

    Obviously Netflix has found a way to prevent this in software, probably by simulating controler input. You should ask Discord to implement the same thing and the other apps you use.

    I don't think the controller should turn off when it is wired into your xbox. A wireless controller will turn off after 15 minutes to save battery though.
