Wireless Xbox 360 Microphone MODEL 1380 for Windows 10

    Dear Microsoft and Xbox Department.

Why don't you try to help private Windows Users?

People are having issues with the wireless xbox360 microphone for years.

There is zero reaction coming from your support stuff.

All owners of the original XBOX 360 WIRELESS MICROPHONE (Model 1380)

are not able to get the mic running properly with your new Windows 10 system.

(It is obvious that all of us are using the xbox360 wireless reciever for Windows)

Do not forget, the device was running fine with all of your older OS expect windows 10 of course.

Users are not able to manually install old drivers, the system keeps using standard AUDIO ENDDEVICE drivers

for the microphone. Manual driver replacement refuse to install the old win7 driver which were recommended

by your own support stuff 4 years ago.

So my question again: In first place, why is a global company like you Microsoft people with 10 years of product

experience in that microphone case having no idea about their own product?

Second, why are you simply totally ignoring your private customers way for years.

We know this product family is not for business of course. But are you seriously want to be market leader without the power to resolve such a small issue? And in case this issue is not so small as we think, why aren't you telling this fact to your people?

Again I want to point out how incredibly unfortunate you treat your customers and that every tech enthusiast from these days and age agree calling this an evidence of incapacity. Again we know this is no business sector issue. And yes again precisely because
this fact this should be just handled in one word by microsoft: EASY (Yes again, because of course there is more important stuff to do, so fix this like a professional)

Sadly what I expect here (again):

No one on microsofts side will take this case serious.

No one of microsoft is going to take the effort to resolve this case and give a statement with clear words.

In your company eyes this issue may be nothing big but again you show us your incompentence in private sector, same as you showed us with windows phone. Yes the devil is always in the stupiest details. So as more you think to
ignore this as stronger your incompetence grows.

So here for the last time I gather some facts about the xbox 360 wireless microphone with windows 10.

    • It is not working functional with actual windows 10 systems.
    • The OS recognize the mic as "XBOX_360_DEVICE_00:01" and keeps installing standard AUDIOENDDRIVERS for this devices.
    • When turning the mic off and on again, the win10 OS adds every time an additional entry to the Playback and Record Device list.
    • The win10 OS does not allow to manually overwrite the standard drivers, it does not even realize the old win7 driver for compability usage.
May it be possible that the mics specs like 1 Bit 16 Bit 8000 or 16000 Hz is just to low for windows 10? But this sounds more like a bad joke.

    Please help us.

We still like to use this good looking and wireless piece of technology with our actual systems. (Do not forget the evolution of Broadcasting, Streaming and Podcasting these days)

    Respectfully

REMEMBER Your product has an original Microsoft Certification Label placed on it.

    :)

Hi Teo. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP here to help you.

Please post this in the Xbox forums, as you posted an Xbox issue in the Windows category and we are Windows experts here.

I would explain your problem and ask for an Xbox Ambassador who are the MVP's of Xbox here:
    https://forums.xbox.com/en-US/home

You can also contact Xbox Support here:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

If you want to complain to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. But Microsoft will not even see it here because this is a tech forums where we are mostly volunteers trying to help solve your
    problems.

I will give you all possible Microphone fixes to try in sequence. Even if you've already tried one I'd do it in this order as one step may affect the next.

Please run the Recording Sound troubleshooter at Start button > Settings>Update & Security>Troubleshoot.

    Try these fixes next:

    https://win10faq.com/fix-microphone-settings/

    https://www.howtogeek.com/395296/fix-my-microphone-doesnt-work-on-windows-10/

    http://maxedtech.com/fix-microphone-not-working-in-windows-10-1803/

Some report that what worked is turning off Fast Startup at Settings > System > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings > Choose what Power buttons do > Change Settings Currently Unavailable > uncheck the box for Fast Startup, Save Settings. Restart and
then disable Hibernate file to clear it, restart PC again and enable Hibernate again: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/enable-hibernate-mode-windows-10/

Right click the volume icon in System Tray at right end of task bar, open Recording Devices, see if the microphone is listed, set it as Default device.

Type Microphone in Start Search, open Set up Microphone, scroll down to Microphone and choose Get started to set it up.

Try rolling back the sound controller drivers in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Choose Sound controller device, then Driver tab, then Roll back if available.

Update the Sound drivers from the PC's Support Downloads web page. While there make sure you also have the latest Chipset, Display, Network, USB and all other drivers, comparing with the version presently installed in Device Manager.

If no newer driver then uninstall the ones presently installed in Device Manager, reached by right clicking the Start Button. Restart PC to reinstall.

When did this behavior begin? If you have an idea you might be able to System Restore back to a point before it began: http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-to-fix-windows-10-problems-with-system-restore-11364008291943

It's possible this was caused by a Windows Update so if nothing above works, go to Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update, check the Installed Updates list for Updates that might have been just installed, try uninstalling them using the Uninstall button
present there. Then hide the Updates using the Hide Updates tool downloaded from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f22d5fdb-59cd-4275-8c95-1be17bf70b21/wushowhide.diagcab

If this was caused by Version 1809 update (which you can confirm at Settings > System > About) then you can roll back Version 1809 in Settings>Update & Security>Recovery and then hide it until it matures using the Hide Updates Tool downloaded from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f22d5fdb-59cd-4275-8c95-1be17bf70b21/wushowhide.diagcab

Go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-performance/windows-10-performance-and-install-integrity/75529fd4-fac7-4653-893a-dd8cd4b4db00

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most
    thoroughly.

If nothing else helps then run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This solves many problems and will also bring it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install

But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. Consider doing the Clean Install in this link which compiles the best possible install that will stay that way as
long as you stick with the tools and methods given: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-windows_install/clean-reinstall-windows-10-upgradefactory-oem/1c426bdf-79b1-4d42-be93-17378d93e587

There is also an automated Refresh that reinstalls WIndows while shedding corrupting factory bloatware, saves your files, but doesn't clear the drive to get it cleanest: https://www.howtogeek.com/265054/how-to-easily-reinstall-windows-10-without-the-bloatware/

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

    speed wheel for xbox 360

hi I bought a second hand speed wheel for o xbox 360 and it did not come with the disc to load it can I pair it with out the software download it
What model of the steering wheel are you trying to sync up with a xbox 360?.

    Are You BLIND..?

The user CLEARLY wrote it's a (Microsoft product the XBOX 360 Wireless) SPEED WHEEL. .

As far as I know that is the ONLY 'Speed Wheel' for XBOX 360) I ever heard about..

And I am ALSO angry with MUchoCost (MS) for NOT making the Windows 10 driver for this WIRELESS controller (Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel) compatible like they do for the MS XBOX 360 original wireless controllers, that connect to Windows 10 via the EXCATLY
SAME WIRELESS ADAPTER for PC, which makes NO SENSE..
