Wireless network not connecting to internet

I unplugged my router/modem for a whole 2 minutes and plugged it back in and it still won't connect. Are you saying to unplug the xbox power itself and plug it back in?

It's wireless network connection it's saying connected to the WiFi but no internet

Hi Smartin_22,

I'd be happy to provide some information and try to help.

Let's start with a hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the Xbox One for about 10 seconds or until the Xbox turns off. Then unplug the power cable from the back of your Xbox and also from your wall outlet.

Next, unplug your router and modem from the power for 5 mins minimum. During this time keep the Xbox unplugged for the same amount of time. Then after 5 mins, get your router and modem back up and running, and finally hook up the Xbox and turn it on.

If the Xbox does not automatically connect to Xbox Live go into your Network Settings. Select Advanced Settings and then Alternate MAC address. Then select Clear and let the Xbox restart.

Hi,

I had a similar issue. But my problem was that my downloads of games stuck in 0%.

What i did was to change the Radio of my wireless from Auto, to Channel 11.

Don't change it to any of 12 and forwards, because the Windows wireless may not work with them.

What console is this? (Xbox one or Xbox 360?)

When attempting to connect to the network does it show your Wi-Fi name?

Do you receive and error messages or code?

It’s an Xbox One console and yes it does display my wireless network’s name but it won’t connect with it. No codes or error messages come up. It just says it can’t connect to my wireless network and to try unplugging my router/modem for 30 seconds and
then plug it back in which I have done several times and it still won’t connect.
