I'd like to note however that there is NO firmware in headsets that connect via 3.5mm plug and therefore they do NOT to be updated when Microsoft updates the console or controller (wireless headsets and their electronics may be an exception and require an
update). There may be a difference in the physical 3.5mm plug size that may contribute to the issue which someone with a micrometer and access to the relevant headsets would need to confirm before one can conclusively place blame on third party headsets. It's
more likely that the controller or console has developed some fault that is yet unidentified and fixed by Microsoft.

It is possible there is something wrong with your console, but most likely you can improve the situation by taking some easy steps, like moving your console to a well ventilated area. Please take a look at this guide, and hopefully it will help you out.

Ok, changed my wireless channel. Still get the random disconnects. The only ideas I have are; my wireless adapter for my 360 is at fault = the start of it's lifespan to decay or it's fault at Microsoft's end... or... Something completely different.

Sorry to hear about the headset troubles. Have you had any issues speaking to your friends on the Xbox One side of things? Make sure both you and your friends have an open NAT, as anything other than open can cause troubles. You can check your NAT settings
under Detailed Network Statistics under Network Settings. Let us know
