Wireless Mic for Xbox One

Why do we not have an affordable wireless microphone for the Xbox One? You already made one for the 360, that one was 60 dollars and every single one on the market now is insanely expensive. I Don't want to pay as much for my headset as i do for my console,
the headset you start out of the box with is a sad joke and everyone who has put it on knows that.

Ive been asking for an official wireless mic like 360 for the Xbox One, why is taking so long?

Is the tritton warhead compatible

Actually, I find the standard Xbox One headset to be very well made, comfortable and efficient. I'm pretty satisfied with it. It is a HUGE improvement over the standard Xbox 360 headset, too.

The xbox one headset does the job. More comfortable than the 360 wired one. Nothing beats my old Gamecom x95's which I no longer have anymore

I'm on the fence about wireless mics. I had one for a short time wayyyy back on 360. I say a short time because it broke easily. I would also forget to charge it a lot so I ended up using the default wired one.

The wired one that came with X1 is pretty decent if you're just looking for chat functionality. I'm sure there will be a wireless one at some point.

The "mic" you're referring to is the boom mic that plugs into the headset.

The mic I'm referring to is the chat system that allows one to talk to other players. Normally, that's supported by a wired mic cable that goes from the 360 controller to other headsets. On all other 360 headsets, a cable is required from the base of the
360 controller to the headset for chat. Even the wireless Astro A50 has a mic cable port to go to the 360 controller.

On the Tritton Warhead, that's all done wirelessly, same as the Microsoft Wireless Mic for 360 works. Tritton integrated the wireless mic into the headset base unit so that the headset can be completely wireless - no wired mic cable going to the controller.

It's the wired mic cable that the Tritton Warhead lacks that is the problem. There will be no way for the Warhead's base unit to sync its wireless mic with the Xbox One.

If all you want to do is use the Warhead as a wireless headset without a mic, it will be fine. If you want mic support, it won't.

It would be nice if my xbox brand wireless Mic would work on the xbox one but I doubt it...

They will work as headphones. They will not work as a headset. The wireless mic connection will not work with the Xbox One and there's no wired mic cable option on the Warhead.

Microsoft was fairly explicit that existing 360 peripherals would not work with Xbox One. At this time, the only thing mentioned so far is that a physical adapter is in the works to convert the new output port on the new controller to work with existing
wired mic devices.

Wireless mics won't work as the wireless protocols are different. The Tritton Warhead is wireless. It won't work with the Xbox One. It doesn't matter how much you spent.
