    Hey guys and girls. I am having issues with my Xbox one losing connection or not finding wireless networks at all. I was hoping that someone may have had a similar situation or know of a fix

    my router is in the same room just not close enough for a Ethernet cable to go around the room otherwise this would be the preferred choice of course.

    Do you have other controllers that are working wirelessly on your console? If so it may be that controller is malfunctioning and if it is out of warranty it will probably be less expensive than trying to get it repaired. Good Luck!

    Have a wireless xbox one controller that will not work wireless. If I try and turn it on the guide button flashes twice then the pad shuts down I've tried batteries and charger packs and all get the same result tried hard reset updating the controller and
    still the same. The only way is to connect via micro usb and use it as a wired controller is there anyway to fix this

    Is it a new xb1? ...I've learned after all the issues of the past day that i had to allow a few more ports through my furewall than what i had for my 360 . May be an option to give that a go and might hit lucky.

    Just do a search for xb1 ports.

    no i've had it since June nut moved house. it was originally wired in. ill check ports thanks

    Configure your wireless settings

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings and then select System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select the name of your wireless network.

      Note If you do not see your wireless network, select Advanced Options. Then, select Specify Unlisted Network, and enter your wireless network name. Next, you are prompted to choose the security type.
    4. Enter your wireless network password. How to find your wireless network password.
    5. Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.

    That's great. Let me know if I'm wrong, but you're having this issue with your wireless accessories as well, which is definitely an interference problem in my opinion.

    Hi there,

    Sorry to hear you are having this problem.

    1. Select Check network connection. This test should determine if you have a working Internet connection from your Xbox One to your network device.
    2. Try to repair any errors that appear. See the Xbox One Network Connection Error Solution to help resolve any network connection
      errors.
    3. If you don’t receive any network errors or can’t resolve the errors you do see, you may have other problems with your network that are causing your Xbox One to time out or fail the system update. These issues can include the following:
      • Wireless interference
      • High packet loss
      • Latency.
    4. If any of these issues are causing a problem, try a wired connection.
