Wireless Headsets allowed on Xbox One (not Turtlebeach)

I know Microsoft has a deal with Turtlebeach to be the only one to provide completely wireless headsets, but is there any talks of this opening up to Astros and other headset manufacturers?

To be honest, I enjoy Xbox and the whole ecosystem... Windows 10, Windows Phone and even the original Zune Pass subscription, but this and the proprietary headset jacks on the original controllers (which we had to wait until March of the year after the console
to get the adapters for) had me buy a PS4.

I have a pair of TBs and while they were good to me, they weren't compatible with the X1 (for chat) yet and so I invested in Astros a50s, wireless. This was prior to knowing about the exclusivity. I enjoyed them so much, I stayed with them.

Will Microsoft ever let other manufacturers make completely wireless (including chat) headsets? It's annoying. Seemed like the amount of folks with mics decreased with the X1 whereas as PS4 increased. Not sure if this is something Microsoft has looked
in to, but I know this is one thing that could help their sales increase. One of my best buds both went PS4 for this reason and while we want to come back to Xbox as our primary gaming platform, we have not switched because we enjoy the trash talk that goes
when when a lobby has mics.

    What are everyone's thoughts?

    :)

Hello, FUZYBUNNY! Unfortunately the 360 wireless headset will not work with the Xbox One. There are currently no Bluetooth adapters for the Xbox One so a Bluetooth headset will not function. Currently the only 100% wireless headsets for the Xbox One are
    the TurtleBeach Stealth 420X, 500X, and 800X.

I have turtlebeach x31 and xc1 headsets. Turtlebeach is the best. Xbox unfortunetly make crappy headsets. Fact. Turtlebeach are the best. Just avoid getting the really old models. I tried the xbox bluetooth wireless headset. Had to shout into it for it to

The best headsets are made by Turtlebeach, my wired Turtle Beach headset was £40 that's for an XL1 headset, the wireless one is about £80 I believe

Chat Broken? Can't use any headset but Kinect works...

    The 3 are:

    - Generic one that comes with the Xbox

    - Official Microsoft Stereo Headset

    - TurtleBeach Wireless

I have 3 Xbox Ones and tried all 3 on all three Xboxes.

    Xbox one wireless headset ?

If you're careful and don't actually break your headsets, I'd recommend the Turtlebeach x42s (or higher). They're wireless and can be used in conjunction with the Kinect sensor (allows for you to ignore TV sound while simultaneously using the sensor) or
    with the headset adapter. ;)
