Wireless Headset not registering

Hey Knowitall, I have read through your post and see that you have tried a lot of testing. One thing that might be possible is using a wireless xbox360 headset. Your description sounds like it is something registering between the headset physically connected
to the controller. Have you ever switched your headset or do you happen to have another headset that you could test the same situation with?

When you register your console, it includes all accessories that came with that console. When contacting support, the Xbox Wireless headset is considered a "retail" item and thus there is no SN for that item in particular. It is a simple fulfillment that
is connected to your Xbox console.

Had the same issue, don't know if my Mic is having problems or if it's Xbox. Personally I think it's Xbox seeing as every time I try join someone's party it throws me out or says there is network limitations. This is beyond a joke now and I have no clue
what to do about it. If your going to release a console... Make sure it works first. Cause I feel ripped off and just left here with no answer to any of my questions. And now I have a 600 pound paper weight with Xbox written on it. Someone do something about
this....

Update: I don't know how, I don't know why, but I tried to open my controller. I popped the handle panels off- after half an hour of figuring out where the screws were; there are none- and saw I needed a tiny allen wrench. I gave up, put the panels back
on, and decided to try one more time. Suddenly, the headset is fully functional. Again, I don't know how, and I don't know why, but I guess I 'fixed' the problem. Anyway, my recommendation would be to never unplug the headset EVER. From the day you plug it
in until the Earth is swallowed by the sun, never unplug the headset. Never ever ever never EVER. Other than that, come on Microsoft. You've had over a year. Get your
[Mod Removed] together. This is partly why I wanted to migrate to PC, and sort of have.

Now I haven’t tested it, yet, but I understand that the controller won’t time out when watching a movie or Netflix with a headset plugged in. This would mean it’s gotta be situational, right? As previously stated, the game has to register the controller as active or it throws an error, so a wireless headset doesn’t help me, because the controller will still time out.
