    I have the wireless headset and I don't want to burn out the battery, so should I only charge my headset using the USB port on the console or is any power brick and wall outlet ok?

    Wired connection is better because there is no need to charge the headset, just plug the headset into the control, and with the wireless connection you would need to charge the headset and the control as well.

    Sorry to say that this wont work. You nee a Headset with a cable or a wireless one. For the wireless headset you could use the USB for the charging station.
