wireless hardware keeps shutting down

i've had the system for three days and since yesterday my system hasn't been able to hold any type of wireless connnection including internet and controller

Try unplugging your xbox and then plugging it back in, or go to settings and reset your xbox with keeping games and apps.

Turn Xbox one on, start game and it shuts down. Does with several different games. Unit is only 18 mo old

Can you try it wired to see if you have the same issue? Just trying to determine where exactly the problem is.

Try doing a hard reset on the console. Hold the power button the console for 10 seconds or until it shuts down completely. Wait for five minutes then power it back on and test for results. Good Luck!

i can't do a wired connection and i have done a hard reset. the only thing i haven't done is a factory reset. i'm thinking that the place i bought it from may have dropped it so i was considering puting in a repair ticket since it should be covered by the
warrenty

Hi Michele,

I'm sorry to hear that. Does it only happen with games or if you open up anything in general the Xbox Shuts off?

Follow these steps to reset your power supply unit:

Unplug the cables from the console, wall outlet, and power supply itself.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug it back in and power on the Xbox.

If that doesn't solve the problem, I would recommend for you to try this: Xbox One
