  1. Wireless Display app won't connect to my notebook

    Dear community.

I know, that several posts have been added here already about the new Wirelss Display App, but mine is a bit different:

Somehow, my notebook won't connect to the XBOX: I press Windows-button + K to open the Wireless Display options. There I can find the XBOX and select it.

The screen is doing a short flickering, as it would switch to the XBOX and on the XBOX screen I see the message “Laptop is about to project”.

But then, nothing more happens. After a while, I get directed back to the start screen, where it states “XBOXONE is ready for you to connect wirelessly”.

I checked already, if Miracast is working, which it is.

Please advise, what I can do.

    Thank you for your feedback.

    :)

Wireless Display app won't connect to my notebook

    Hi
    WindowsupdaterCompaq
    ,

Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to try and help here. If you haven't done so yet, I recommend some basic troubleshooting. First, uninstall the app and then go ahead and do a

    hard reset and power cycle
. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox. Once the Xbox reboots, re-install the app and try once more.

Let us know if the app gets stuck at the same place.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Or any other solutions?

I tried to contact the support via the mentioned E-Mail adress on the app's homepage, but it seems, as if the adress is wrong.

    I'm happy about all inputs.

    Thank you.

Wireless Display app won't connect to my notebook

    Hey Xbox Fan,

Thank you for reaching out. I see the setup for the Wireless Display app is still giving you a hard time. We'll try our best to help you figure this out. Let's make sure there is no setting within the console that can be causing the lack of picture coming
through your notebook. Go ahead and try performing a
    factory reset
on your Xbox but make sure to select the variant which keeps your games and apps. (This will save you the hassle of having to downloading your huge games).

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
    3. Select Reset console.

Once the reset is finished, you will be asked to sign back in. You will also be asked to apply your former settings or to manually select them; choose the latter. Let us know if you are able to set it up afterwards. Cheers :D

Wireless Display app won't connect to my notebook

    Hi Diego .

Thank you for your reply .

    That didn't work either .

Even if I switch off my firewall and antivirus, there is no change.

Windows says that it's connected, but the XBOX doesn't show a picture on the screen .

How to get controller to work on Xbox series X while using wireless display app to connect to a PC.

Hi MyNameIsMatt! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

Of what you are using is a wireless display app, you won't be able to control the Xbox trough the tv, if your Tv supports android apps you should install the Xbox app, this will allow you to play remotely or while using wireless display the controller must be connected to the Xbox not the TV
