Wireless controllers will not sync to console

I attempted to sync my three Xbox 360 controllers to my PC with a wireless gaming receiver. This failed, but I was able to connect them to another PC in my house with the same receiver (I think I am missing some drivers). Anyway, I am now unable to reconnect
them to my console. When I push the sync buttons on both the controller and the Xbox, all four lights flash on both devices. However, it never actually connects or lights up the player one light. I have tried unplugging everything from my Xbox but the power
cable, and even tried it away from other electronics but it still will not connect. This is with the black Xbox 360 Slim 4gb console, and all the controllers are wireless.

I am sorry to hear that the suggested solutions did not solve the issue. Have you previously used the wireless controllers with your current console? Would it be possible to try to try to sync one of your wireless controllers with a different console?

Found it and re installed Windows 10, the controllers still do not sync to the wireless receiver

Yes. I have tried moving my console to an open area, free of other electronics, and there are no other controllers connected.

 

You might try removing the batteries from the controllers for a bit, then replace them and try again. I really can not think of any reason they would not sync, unless there is a problem with the console, or controller. But if you have tried more then one
controller, I would lean towards a problem with your console.

 

I was thinking the same thing sadly. Is there a sensor or something on it that could be cleaned? If it did need a repair, what might it cost me?

Hi, try taking the power cable out of your xbox with the xbox powered off of course, press the power button on the xbox several times, reconnect the power cable and power the xbox on again.

Be sure that you press the sync button on the xbox first and then the sync button on the controller.

Just out of curiosity make sure that the other PC you had the controllers connected to is powered off and the gaming receiver is disconnectd from the PC before you try to sync the controllers to the Xbox.

 

I can't turn off the computer right now, so I will attempt this later.

 

Turning off the computer did not work. Before I had this problem, I also had another issue involving the controllers. The controllers would disconnect randomly. I later found out that it actually wasn't random, they disconnected when it vibrated. After
turning off controller rumble this issue went away. However, this also occurred whit my friend's controller when connected (the controller apparently worked fine on his console). This strengthens my suspicion that it is a problem with the console. Also,
would the controllers be able to sync if I were to connect them to the console via USB? If so, could they remain synced after unplugging them (so that I could sync all three controllers one at a time and not need three cables)?

 

Have you tried to sync these with another console? If you are able to, it pretty much tells the story. You could try the USB method, but I could not tell you with any confidence that it will work.

 

SO, what are my options to solving this problem if it is a problem with the console?
