Wireless Controller

I just bought the Star Wars edition of the Xbox 360 S and it came with a wireless controller and having been an Original Xbox person and new to Xbox 360 what are all the ports for? I know that at least one is for plugging in the headset (round one), but
here are two others on either side of the headset plug, and there is another one just under the words Xbox 360. If you can assist men I will give you much thanks.

Xbox One Extra Controller

Best Buy and Walmart are going to be offering bundles with an extra controller that comes with the day one edition. Will this extra controller also be the day one edition? What I mean is if anyone knows if the 2 controllers will match in the box or not.Click to expand...

The second wireless controller is NOT a commemorative wireless controller.

The one on the back of the wireless controller is for the Play and Charge kit. The 'two others' you describe are actually one port which is designed to be used for the Xbox 360 Chatpad accessory. The Chatpad actually connects to both this port and the
microphone port, thus allowing the use of a Chatpad and headset at the same time.

are you using a wireless controller/headset?

I assume you use wireless controller as you say youve changed batteries.

what about a wired controller/headset?

if its fine with wired and not through wireless control then theres something not right with the console and its wireless sync with controllers.

You probably mean the right thing, but the Xbox One does not use Bluetooth to connect controllers wirelessly, but a Xbox specific wireless communication protocol.

Since the console has this wireless protocol built into the special wireless module already, the Xbox One doesn't support the USB wireless connector.

Try the

Hi,

When using this cable on a 360 it will allow you to continue to play while charging. It doesn't make the wireless 360 controller a wired controller, in fact the controller remains wireless.

Hence, if you plug this into a 360 controller and a PC, it will just charge the battery - or power the controller if no battery is present. It won't make the controller wired. This is because the 360 wireless controller was only designed to be wireless.

To use a 360 wireless controller on your PC, you'll need a 360 Game Receiver.

Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.
