    Wireless Controller Won't sync to XBOX 1 COD Edition


    Tried EVERYTHING!!!

    Tried syncing bottom, hard reset on xbox, unplugged power cord, updated the controller, tried multiple controllers and none of them sync, factory reset on xbox.

    Only way it works is if i connect a cable to it.

    HELP!!!

    wireless headset and wireless controllers won't sync together

    I bought new console today and I found out that my halo reach wireless controller and my wireless headset won't sync at all. I tried to sync with other controllers all of them work. is my halo reach controller busted or there is something I need to do to
    fixed it?

    Controller sync button doesn't work for particular controller. Please take a look.

    Okay so one of my controllers won't connect from the sync button I know the steps please do not tell me to press sync on both devices. So, I can sync any other controller I have about 6 of them. Now.. I have a normal white xbox 360 nothing new. 2 elite controllers,
    1 gamestop controller 3 white controllers. All wireless except for the gamestop. I have 4 PnP cords. I tried using a PnP cord to connect the controller to the xbox it still doesn't work. It just keeps flashing. All 4 of the rings flash at once. Any help?!

    Xbox won't sync

    Hmm if both won't sync it could be the wireless receiver in the Xbox. I would check again to see if the controllers need an update through the USB cable though.

    Hi,

    The Xbox 360 wireless protocol is not Bluetooth. This is why your 360 controller won't sync to your wireless receiver. PlayStation Dual Shock uses BT, the 360 does not. Only the Xbox One X controller can be connected via Bluetooth.

    If you want to use a wireless 360 controller you will need to buy the Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver. Don't buy the Xbox One receiver as it does not support 360 controllers either.

    I don't think it can be fixed with an update.

    When you plug an Xbox One controller into an Xbox, the console also automatically syncs the controller to the console's own proprietary wireless receiver, which incidentally doesn't use Bluetooth. When you plug the controller into a PC it looks for this
    propitiatory wireless signal to sync to but doesn't find it and therefore because of this search it is no longer synced to the console.

    There is no way to disable this automatic sync process as it's by design. A feature to make connecting to a PC using the official receiver easier. I'm pretty sure if you buy the official Xbox One wireless receiver for Windows, the controller should automatically
    sync to this when you insert the micro USB cable from the PC to the controller and therefore you won't need to keep pressing the bind buttons, but I'm afraid syncing is something that you will have to keep doing, one way or another unless you buy a second
    controller.

    Question about 360 controller for PC

    The wired pads are up to £25 where as the receiver is only £15.

    Its works just the same as the Xbox, just sync the pad to wireless receiver holding the button on the pad and the button on the wireless receiver.

    Controllers can only be synced to either the xbox or wireless receiver at a time. The controller cannot be synced to both.

    No confusion :)
