    Wireless Controller won't Connect


    So I had my feet in a foot bath with epsom salts in it a couple weeks back. I figured I would play some Xbox while soaking my feet. I set my controller in my lap and leaned over to the side to grab something and my controller dropped into the foot bath.
    I quickly pulled it out and removed the battery pack and dried it off as best as I could. I let it sit for a few days to allow the electronics to dry before reinstalling the battery and charging it I checked the buttons. They were sticking a little bit so
    I pulled it apart and cleaned it up. Now when I turn on the controller the light blinks at a slower rate as if it isn't connected to a console. When I hold down the connect button for a couple seconds the blinking speeds up as one would when trying to connect.
    I then press the connect button on the console but it doesn't connect. Am I doing something wrong or does it sound like part of my controller is fried?

    Headset not connecting

    my headset won't connect to my x box even though it has done before. It works in other devices. I have a wireless controller. Do I need to connect it with an adapter?

    It worked for 2 minutes yesterday then I unplugged it from my controller nowith it won't connect again.

    Hey there Zombie9to5.

    First, be sure you power cycle your Xbox One (hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds), then try re syncing your controller by pressing the sync button on both your Xbox One and wireless controller. If you're still having issues, is there any chance you
    can test your controller with a different Xbox One to see if it connects there? If an alternate console works, the issue may be on your Xbox One console's side.

    Hi,

    I suspect you're attempting to connect an Xbox 360 wireless controller to your PC using a Play & Charge cable? Effectively making it a wired controller?

    I'm afraid this won't work. Unlike Xbox One/Series X controllers, wireless 360 controllers are always wireless, connecting a Play & Charge simply charges the battery or powers the controller if no battery is present. Unfortunately the cable doesn't send data.

    The only way to connect these controllers to a PC is via an Xbox 360 gaming receiver. The receiver for Xbox one controllers is not compatible.

    so in troubleshooting and deeper looking, it would appear that my PC does not inherently come with bluetooth, the only thing really connecting my controller has been the wireless adapter, although it still doesn't answer why a wired connection won't suffice. it jsut won't pick up the existence of my controller
