Wireless controller WiFi interferance

When I play with a wireless controller sometimes my controller will randomly disconnect from my console and when this happens my console disconnects from xbox live. Its as if an update has caused this as it only started happening around two months ago. Does
anyone have any idea why my wireless controller could be interfering with my xboxs wifi? This is really starting to annoy just for how stupid this problem is.

It was more a suggestion to see if that resolves the issue for testing sake. If you think it might be that but can't disable WiFi to confirm, then you could try changing the wireless channel and hope you get one that does not interfere with the controller's signal to the Xbox.

It is a ridiculous issue to have, but I am not sure Microsoft sees is it as a fault as their own support page suggests disabling possible interference sources such as cordless phones and WiFi routers - disabling the WiFi is just bizarre, but I imagine they mean to identify if that is the issue. I am sure the next step would be to try a different channel.

Slow Reaction Time

Sounds like external signal interferance messing up the wireless signal of the controller.

If you have a wired controller, or a play and charge kit cord to use as a wire, try that out and see if there's different results.

It shouldn't, the frequencies are completely different. There is most likely something else causing the issue, beyond my knowledge unfortunately.

I'd assume your console is connected wirelessly to your WiFi. Since you say the network as well as the controller are disconnecting, I'd guesstimate, that you have a device that also uses the 2.4GHz frequency like the controllers and the WiFi, that interferes
with your WiFi and wireless controller connection.

It might be a badly shielded microwave oven, or a wireless baby monitor, or a garage door opener remote or one of those remotely switchable power outlets that might cause interference that causes your controller and WiFi to get disconnected.

It is recommended to use Microsoft Wired Keyboard, as wireless adapter for keyboard will interfere with Xbox One's internal wireless adapter for Controllers or WiFi, and Xbox One does not have drivers for keyboard wireless dongle.

Since you say Internet AND controller disconnect, it would be a good idea to check for wireless interference.

Both WiFi and controllers use the 2.4GHz wireless spectrum, which is used by a lot of other wireless devices (and even Microwave ovens).

So neighboring WiFis or baby monitors can interfere with your connection.

It might also be that the wireless chip in the console is faulty, when both stop working at the same time.

If you can rule out wireless interference by moving the console closer to the router and sitting closer to the console for testing purposes, you might have to send in your console for a warranty repair at
