Wireless Controller disconnecting while charging.

I have a play and charge kit for my controller so I don't need batteries constantly. Within the last couple of days it started randomly disconnecting (while the light on the controller still being on), and I need to unplug the charger and plug it back in
to reconnect it, and then I don't know when the next one will happen (it has been within 2 minuets the quickest two disconnections happened).

This only seems to happen WHILE it's charging, when I diconnect the charger, the controller is fine. Could it be a problem with the consoles USB ports or the play and charge kit?

Wireless controller

My wireless (BLACK) controller keeps disconnecting on me while playing games, etc.. i've trouble shooted the controller and everything, what can i do to fix this?

Missing / wanted features

While we are on the subject - another annoyance is when I disconnect the play and charge kit whilst playing, the controller disconnects from the console and I have to wait for it to reconnect.

I'd guess that's because it's switching from data transfer by USB to data transfer by wireless. Needs a second for the wireless to establish.

One thing I forgot to mention, is that it seems to happen mainly when fully charged.

Can take a while, if you do have or can borrow a play and charge kit it will sync it. If not I would try fully in plugging Xbox from the power and taking the batterys out of the controller for ten mins so it restores and then try again.

If you have a charge cable, have player one hold the first controller and player two hold second controller with power off. Plug the cable into the usb slot on xbox and then on the second controller then see if it recognizes and binds it automatically.

Hi,

When using this cable on a 360 it will allow you to continue to play while charging. It doesn't make the wireless 360 controller a wired controller, in fact the controller remains wireless.

Hence, if you plug this into a 360 controller and a PC, it will just charge the battery - or power the controller if no battery is present. It won't make the controller wired. This is because the 360 wireless controller was only designed to be wireless.

To use a 360 wireless controller on your PC, you'll need a 360 Game Receiver.
