Wireless Controller Disconnecting ONLY when performing certain tasks in game.

My controller only disconnects when performing certain functions in the game (Infinity 2.0 Avengers). eg when pressing left trigger when flying (or B to land) it always disconnects, but when using these buttons on the ground, it DOES NOT disconnect.

I originally thought it may have been shorting out when pressing buttons, but since it only happens in certain modes eg flying vs running, I'm now guessing it is a software issue, but no idea on how to fix it.

I just bought a new controller and it works perfectly, so not sure what the issue is with it (do they have firmware that can be updated)?

Party chat switches to game chat.

Is this happening in all games or just certain games?

Is it just you getting disconnected or are other members also?

Are you plugging in or disconnecting a wired controller when it happens?

If a wireless controller, is the battery low?

(This also happens to friends in parties occasionally in Rainbow Six Siege).

It's not your controller. It's a power draw issue. Some battery brands don't provide sufficient power, or may provide too much. Either way, try switching your battery brand, and if you're using rechargeable batteries, try a different mAh capacity.

When you say "I tried to connect the control through the USB cable for 10 minutes on the console", does that mean you were able to perform the steps outlined in "Connect
a wireless Xbox One controller to your console" ? If so, you may need to follow up with "Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect"

Hey there Fastball,

Are your controllers disconnecting only when playing a Kinect Game or is it just overall when you're playing any games on your Xbox 360?

I would advise going through the "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect" support
article to troubleshoot this issue.
