Sorry to hear you are running into these problems on your Xbox One. How are the headphones setup? Do they plug in directly to the controller or do you have it plugged into an adapter? Many times third-party headsets can cause active interference because
they can broadcast on the same frequency as wireless routers.

Go ahead and unplug the headset completely from the controller/adapter and give it a try without the headphones connected to anything. See if this changes anything.

They are Lucid Sounds Ls-35's wireless . They pair directly to the XBOX the same as the controller. I have an enterprise Unifi set up in the house with a dedicated Network on a 5ghz channel for this console. Signal quality is 99% to AP. This started happening
roughly the same time as the last Console update that added the restart option to the menu. I do not see the console or headset interfering with anything on my graphs.

Im running the 5g radio channel width at 20Mhz on a clean channel. I have owned these phones for roughly 8 months and they are up to date on firmware.



Console is an Xbox One S, Elite Controller and LG UHD. The Tv's wireless features are off.

If streaming was NOT working when the headset was on I could completely see an interference problem. The fact that streaming only works when the headset is re-engaged is a bit baffling to me.

I tested again last night with Turtle Beach Stealth 700's and had the same issues. Wired direct to console or paired wirelessly, all apps lag unless headphones are on and connected. DO i need to open a ticket somewhere else to help resolve this issue?

Hi all, after a couple of restarts the headphones now work with the PC on a wireless connection using the Xbox Wireless Adaptor (not Bluetooth). Audio quality is extremely improved.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Bluetooth is still a mystery regarding quality as I only built the machine last year with new, mid-high range Asus/Corsair parts.

yeah that router is a bit of a mystery its hard to find a decent manual, have you looked under the advanced menu for some wireless settings?
