    Wireless Connection Troubles

What Country/State/Province do you live in? Wisconsin

Modem brand & model number: Unknown (college connection)

Router brand & model number: Unknwon (college connection)

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? internal

Things you have tried: Redoing the test multiple times, restarting the Xbox

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No

Any Error Codes you encounter: None (so far)

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Time Warner Cable

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    W: 0000-0021

    X: 0000-F001

    Y: 0000-0000

    Z: 0000-0000

    ID: FFFF-FFFF

    L: 8015-1909

    Q: 8007-0435

    T: Wireless

    D: 134.48.29.175, 134.48.29.185

    S: No Security

    C: 6

In addition, I was given a username and password for signing into the internet. A browser on my laptop came up when I originally logged in, and I entered them in. That may be what is causing the connection failures because I cannot connect
to the internet. However, my laptop is able to.

    :)

    Greetings tylerth!

What seems to be the problem is that you're trying to connect your console to a
802.1X network, which is an authentication
mechanism that acts like a door bouncer. without the proper username and password you won't be able to come in.

The problem with 802.1X authentication and it's relationship with the Xbox 360' network adapter is that the latter doesn't support 802.1X. Meaning, you won't be able to authenticate your console, as your computer, to gain access to your college network and
    to the Internet-at-large.

The following suggestions can sort this out.

There're a numerous of solution to work your way around this.

    1. Connect your console to your computer and share your computer's Internet Connection (ICS).
      Here's how!
    2. You can use your computer's MAC address, that has connectivity to your college network and is registered on your college network, and have your computer's physical address in use, as your console's alternative MAC address.
      Here's how!
    3. Contact your college IT department and ask them politely if they can registered your console's MAC address.

    Keep us posted!

    XBox wireless problems

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your Xbox 360 wireless adapter. A flashing green light indicates that the adapter is attempting to connect to a wireless network. When you try to connect to your wireless network, does the console prompt you to connect
an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter, or does it recognize the adapter but display no wireless networks in the list?
