Wireless connection on xbox one kicking me out of games and party chat!

Hi, long story but ill try and make it brief, i have just purchased an Xbox one, had an xbox 360 which has worked fine on my connection for years, was unable to stay in call of duty advanced warfare game and party chat for more than 5 mins, it kicks me out.
I contacted xbox and they advised port forwarding or to contact my ISP (Virgin Media), i did the port forwarding myself and it worked for 24 hours no more kicking out of games! Yay! Went on it the night after and it did it again, so contacted VM and did static
IP address and port forwarding four times with them and it didnt work, i was left with its xbox's problem! During my call to VM i brought my console downstairs to the router and plugged it in and it didnt kick me, i then played using wireless right next to
the router and it kicked me again, i have very good connection using wireless, I am at a loss and feel like i have wasted so much money on a white brick sat under my tv, im gutted as ive waited a year for this console i believe Powerline Adapters may solve
my problem but before i purchade these is there anyone that has got any other solutions to my wireless problem other than changing providor which i dont think will solve much

Hi i am have trouble with syncing too forza horizon 2 server will not link too icloud so i detected game 6 times and still no joy can you help me fix this .an there's trouble connecting too friends in a party i get connection party and get block from
chat and game kicking me out of game or freezing an very glitches at times

Every time im in party chat with friends it keeps kicking me out.

 

I don't own a superhub 2 myself but I did find this thread on the virgin media forums

Apparently it's a common problem with the superhub 2 disconnecting when using wireless.

Someone on page 17 mentions fixing it by adding a guest network to the router.

I've linked the thread so you could read through that while waiting for someone knowledgeable of that router to reply to this thread.

So for anyone who knows VM superhub2 i have just attempted with guidance from VM help website to set up a guest account and came across another stumbling block (will it ever end?) i enable my enable my guest account and it asks me to select the WEP radio
button and the button is there but i am unable to select it, i can either select WPA Auto, WPA2-PSK[AES], WPA/WPA2 Enterprise or Disable, thats my first stubbling block, and theres me getting all excited can someone please help?

 

Do not use WEP even if the web page tells you to.

It is not secure and will leave you vulnerable to hacking

From what you have said it sounds like you need to select WPA Auto

Other than that can you post a link to the web page with the instructions you are following?

 

Don't use WEP, its out dated and not very secure. I would use WPA2-PSK to be the most secure you can be. WPA Auto is alright but is uses mixed versions of WPA and not as good

Do any of you have safer instructions on how to set up a guest account to counteract my wireless connection problem?

 

Just select either WPA2-PSK(AES) or WPA-AUTO

Like Richiestang78 said the WPA2-PSK option would be the most secure but some older devices might not be compatible. Devices like a Sony PSP wont work with it. So if you have really old devices in your house or are not sure select the WPA-Auto option.

EDIT: Although if the xbox one is the only device you are going to connect to the guest network then select the WPA2 option

I have the same issue and have followed this and now I am stuck as my guest network has strict nat type and can't be changed apparently

So Terry did u follow the virgin media help to set up a guest account? Which way did u do it?

 

I'm not quite sure, my step brother set it up whilst I was in work, I'm currently running a netgear power line plug, Ethernet directly from router to one and then a socket upstairs by my console and an Ethernet there too, I haven't had any disconnecting
issues so far, but I'm stuck on strict NAT so struggle to find games a little, I have lots of night shifts starting tonight so won't be using console for a week or so hoping my bro changes the settings then I may have solution
