So I am not wifi or internet expert, but I heard from friends that this is relatively solid for a wireless connection for Xbox live. My issue is that even though the connection is relatively strong, in every game I play when I enter online multiplayer
there are little 2 second lag spikes and I am hardly ever disconnected, but it is extremely frustating having these 2 second lag spikes around every 20 seconds no matter what game I am playing online. I have used DNS codes, factory reset my Xbox, cleared the
cache and more, but nothing seems to help. I am not sure if this problem is because of my connection or because my xbox is getting old. Would love any feedback surrounding this.

    Hello Cell,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. What you are able to do on that mobile network depends on how strong that connection is. To play online multiplayer games, you usually need a solid, stable connection that not all hotspots/mobile networks give
    that.

It would be best to connect to a home network, but you can still try it out on mobile hotspot. Let us know the results.

    2k sport severs not avilable

You need a strong connection for this game to work for you. I've played on both a weak and strong connection. I do still have problems here and there even on a strong connection but it's much more stable now.

Brand New series S console won't stay connected to internet.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Nat type came back as open, tried multiplayer test 3 times, after some simple trouble shooting it came back as all good on the third attempt. As I said while it remains connected the services are relatively stable, the issue lies in actually getting it to stay connected.

Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

This issue has been going on since the game was launched last year unfortunately.

I'd recommend using online custom games for multiplayer and private matches for zombies Since those are relatively stable.

    Hope this helps

    FORTNITE WITH GOLD

    Hello WassimSmirate!

Nearly all MMO (massively multiplayer online) games require Xbox Live Gold to use their online features. Those games include but are not limited to:

    • Fortnite
    • Halo
    • Destiny
You could say this for all games. Xbox Live Gold provides a safe, stable connection to online games. If they didn't enforce Gold for these games, you would be open to hackers.
