I just recently got an xbox 360 after experiencing the red ring many years ago and have finally come back! Then I have crossed my issue being so close, but so far. I'm currently trying to setup my a wireless adapter, a Netgear Wireless N Adapter, N600 Dual
Band. I am having no luck with trying to have it connect to the 360 or even having it register usb or the start-up disk. Could anyone please help me as my laptop freezes every time I try to enter the support chat. Many thanks and good karma await the one who
can help me after my 3 hour struggle.

    :)

  3. Can't connect to wireless Network

HiWireless Adaptor issues, 3 hours of hell, and at this point any help would be welcomed. Thank ... :) I am having trouble with connecting to the internet. My xbox wire less adaptor won't connect to my internet. Evertime I test the connection It says "can't connect to wireless network" This has never happened before. And also the red light on the xbox
wireless adaptor is on. However, I have been having some connection issues from my laptop to my wireless adaptor. I have no idea how to fix this. I tried everything and looked all over internet. I think the problem is the wireless adaptor, but I don't know
what to do. My adaptor is Cisco Linksys E 2500. If you have any idea how to fix this problem, please let me know. I want to play my xbox live again haha. Thank you.

I thought I could add my request for feedback on this thread because I am using a Wi-Fi adapter, but on the Xbox Original. Please read and provide any feedback that you may have to offer as a solution besides purchasing a new Xbox.

I am having a Xbox Live interconnection problem also, but mine is slightly different because I am working with hybrid technology and a slow internet connection. My Xbox Original, 1st or 2nd edition, from 2000 or early 2001 is upstairs in a spare bedroom/office,
connected via Ethernet into a TP-Link Wi-Fi Powerline Extender (AV500 Powerline Edition) that is plugged into the wall socket; the TP Link Adapter is plugged into the wall socket next to my modem, a Ethernet cable is connected into the TPL Adapter and connected
into my DSL/Modem, which is connected into the DSL/Phone Filter/Jack [CenturyLink configuration]. I run the auto connection and just when I think I am about to connect to XBox Live, I receive the message that I cannot connect. I think I need to push the
modem's WPS button again, press the adapter's Pair button then run upstairs and push the Wi-Fi Clone button on the extender. However, I realize it may not work because the bedroom's wall socket may be on a different circuit than the wall socket downstairs.
I am actually testing the Wi-Fi Powerline capabilities, but I was really hoping I could connect my Xbox to Xbox Live.

I appreciate all laughter be kept to a minimum (ha, ha, ha), but please provide any comments and recommendations you may have to offer.

Thank you. I guess that means the Xbox consoles are only able to connect to the internet in reference to playing online games through the Xbox Live portal? All is not lost because I can still play games in the traditional configuration. I did find some
really cool "hack sites" that illustrates, "How To Repurpose Your Classic Xbox", one example "Transform Your Classic Xbox into a Killer Media Center with online capabilities". I know I could purchase a device, but I am interested in building my skills and
expanding my comfort zone on a peanut budget. I have other websites that I could search for other options to consider for my classic Xbox. Thank you.
