Wired Xbox One Controller Trigger Problem

Hello, I have a small problem with my Xbox One controller.

For some reason, my right trigger has started malfunctioning. In the Properties tab under my Game Controller Settings, when I press the trigger all the way down, the Z axis (the axis the analog triggers are bound too) flickers instead of completely emptying.
For example, when I play Castle Crashers and press the trigger to use magic, it flickers in between being able to use magic and not rapidly and sporadically, making it difficult to do so. It was not like this when I purchased the controller a few weeks ago.

I have tried calibrating my controller through the troubleshoot feature in the Windows Control Panel, and it didn't work. Is there a way to fix this problem without opening the controller up?

    :)

Xbox One accessories have a 90day warrenty, so if you did not exceed that yet you can send it back for repair.

Opening hardware (like the controller) is against the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use and should not be done.

That seems counter intuitive and freakin' dumb. It's a controller, as if I'm not gonna controller to fix it myself if all else fails, Codes of Conduct/Terms of Service be damned.

Unfortunately, I must have thrown out the box and the receipt the controller came with, so I cannot send it in for repair on warranty. Whatever. I'll try thinking of something.

Xbox One Wireless Controller WITH Wireless Adapter, acting as though the right trigger is being held down constantly

The Xbox One wired driver change is not supported, because it tends to change the driver stack. This trigger isue is specifically a problem with games not being able to handle split triggers from the Xbox One vs combined triggers. Unfortunately this affects
certain games, whereas other games are able to handle it properly.

    Xbox controller acting strangely

Try hooking up the controller to the console wired for 15 minutes without a battery. Just letting it sit there, power the controller off, then try it again. If that doesn't fix your problem, contact Repairs for Xbox. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/warranties-and-repair

    Thanks for contacting us!
Thanks, I found out the issue, the top left button was stuck as a result that button was always triggered, pulled it out and the controller is working fine now, thanks for the assistance
