    Wired Xbox one controller tries to synch wirelessly


    I've been having a wireless connection problem with my controllers. They won't connect to the console unless they are positioned at no more than two centimeters right in front of the console or right above. It is pretty damn frustrating and a very stupid
    problem. My console is up to date as well as my controllers, so the only option could be interference. I tried moving everything that could cause interference out of the room to no avail.

    The only way to use the controllers is connecting them via usb, and It worked fine for some time. Just today, I turned on the console, plugged in one of the controllers and got the vibration feedback, but the controller didnt actually turned on. So I pressed
    the white button and guess what? It started looking for a wireless connection! Now whenever I plug it in, it tries to connect wirelessly and fails unless it is positioned right in front of the f***** console! Give me a break.

    Right now I cannot play anything and I want to know if this has happened to someone else. Maybe i'll need a console replacement but I need to test with different controllers first.

    Unable to connect controller to pc

    As far as I'm aware, the play and charge controller is only for charging. Unlike the Xbox one controller, it does not turn teh wireless controller into a wired one. When you use the Play and Charge cable, your controller is still talking to the Xbox 360
    wirelessly.

    The wireless receiver is your best bet. That or, an actual wired controller.

    Xbox One controller wireless on PC

    At present you cannot connect your Xbox One controller wirelessly, only via a USB cable which makes it a wired controller.

    Perhaps they might release a wireless adapter like they did for the 360, but nothing has been announced.

    It does sounds like the issue may be with the console, if you test with another controller or test those controllers with another console it'll surely let you know where the problem is. How long have you had the console and did you purchase it new or pre-owned?

    It does sounds like the issue may be with the console, if you test with another controller or test those controllers with another console it'll surely let you know where the problem is. How long have you had the console and did you purchase it new or pre-owned?

    With the Xbox 360 controller, it only sent data wirelessly. The charging cable was only used to charge rechargeable batteries on the controller, and does not send data over the wire for the controller. You would need the Xbox 360 wireless controller
    adapter (usb dongle) to connect. If the 360 controller was wired natively then that would work, but the default controllers only worked wirelessly.

    The Corsair HS70 does not work on the Xbox One wirelessly. You might be able to use it wired to your controller.

    All compatible controllers will have a works with Xbox tag on the box. This one does not.
