    I have a wired controller that I use on my xbox. For the past two months, it has randomly disconnected every few minutes and has caused me to die countless times in games. I feel like it might be a problem with my cord, but I'm not sure.

    I've had this happen on occasion.

    When it does, although it reconnects on it's own, I remove the batteries for about 10 seconds, then put them back & trun the controller on.

    Seem's I'm good for the rest of my current session then.

    So what im seeing is no matter what controller you use on your xbox wired or wireless it ends up disconnecting at some point? But those same controllers work flawlessly on another xbox?

    I am sorry to hear that.

    The strange factor is this only happens with online games, this doesn't seem to be related to controller pairing issues.

    Have you tried to use another USB cable? It may be a cable malfunction.

    When using the controller via wireless, does it also disconnect?
