Wired Xbox controller problem!

So I purchased a controller that was wired for the Xbox 360 around Christmas. The controller stopped working yesterday, with about one playtime of use. So then I bought a new controller today, since it was to late to return the other. Same problem happened
after about 10 mins.

Problem: I'd be playing Xbox and then out of no where, it would say I needed to reconnect the controller. It didn't work and when I press the middle X button, it doesn't even flash or do anything. This is the second time this has happened with 2 new wired
controllers that were $40 each.

Please help!

The light on the controller not the console. The console works just fine with my wireless.

Unfortunately it does sound like a controller issue, if you can borrow one from a friend try that and see to make sure before you go drop the cash on a new controller or even a used one, that way your not wasting extra money, but I have not had this issue
or really heard of it on these forums or the 2K WWE 13 forums, but im also using a wireless controller so.

 

I'd suggest buying a wireless one and buy the play and charge kit

 

Yeah I went ahead and refunded both my controllers and bought a wireless one. Thanks for the reply!
