Wired Xbox Controller Lights On, But Not Working

    Good afternoon,

Encountered an issue with my wired Xbox controller. The lights in the center remain on and immobile, but will not connect to the Xbox. It will not function. I have tried to connect and reconnect, but to no avail. Any help? Thanks in advance.

    :)

  3. Xbox 360 not recognizing controllers

My Xbox 360 has stopped recognizing controllers. It turns on, but the wired controller just lights up all 4 lights (constant, not blinking) and the console doesn't recognize it at all (no controller lights light up). I tried both controller ports and it
happens the same way in both, but if the Xbox is on when I plug a controller in, the wired controller doesn't light up at all.

I tried a wireless controller as well, but the lights kept blinking like it was searching for a console. When I had the Xbox search for wireless controllers, it didn't find the controller I had.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Wired Xbox Controller Lights On, But Not Working

Had a similar issue in the past the wiring in the cord must have a split some where Turns out it happens more often with after market controllers like Cat. Try using another wired controller and see if it works and of course if you haven't already try using
another USB port on the console.
