Wired or Wireless for Controller on PC

Title pretty much says it all, i know that if there is a response difference, its very very small and probably not noticeable. But can someone tell me if there is even the slightest response time difference between using a wired and wireless controller on PC? And/or any other preferences/pros/cons would be greatly apreciated. Thank you!

    :)

    Hiya!

Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like you're trying to get a Xbox 360 controller to work on your pc. How is this controller connecting to your PC? Is it a wired controller or wireless controller? If it's a wireless 360
controller there is a wireless dongle that would be needed to have the controller work on PC. Please let us know.

    Happy Gaming!

This is wired USB controller. I think that wire is broken.

    Sorry for bad English.

    Cable play&charge to windows 10

    Hi,

When using this cable on a 360 it will allow you to continue to play while charging. It doesn't make the wireless 360 controller a wired controller, in fact the controller remains wireless.

Hence, if you plug this into a 360 controller and a PC, it will just charge the battery - or power the controller if no battery is present. It won't make the controller wired. This is because the 360 wireless controller was only designed to be wireless.

To use a 360 wireless controller on your PC, you'll need a 360 Game Receiver.

    controller for Windows

To play on a PC with an Xbox 360 controller you need to get a wired controller. On Xbox 360 the "wire" is only used for charging on the wireless controller.

xbox 360 controller not working on PC

Is the controller a wireless controller or wired? If it is wireless, how are you connecting it? If by using the play & charge kit, then the Xbox 360 controller will not work, as the cable is only recognized on PC for charging only. You need to use a Xbox
360 Wireless adapter for PC to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC.

    Wired versus Wireless Controllers/Headsets

I used wired when I play PC for both Controller and headset. On xbox, I use a wireless controller, but a wired headset.
