    Wired Headset Turtle Beach Recon70 mic not working but only in Fortnite, help!


    Please help, I have Turtle Beach wired headset, I can hear people but they cannot hear me. I have tested the headset on another device and it works fine. The headset works in Forza (will then work in Fortnite after Forza) but if you go straight into Fortnite
    it just doesn't work.

    I have ensured the xbox has the latest software and also deinstalled Fortnite and installed - and it still doesn't work

    I have checked the settings, in fortnite - they appear OK

    Why is this not working?

    Any ideas?

    Turtle Beach XP500 and XBA mic quality

    I Just had to resolder my Limited Edition MW3 Turtle Beach PX21's as the right channel was dropping out & the mic had cable interference.. The cable quality that Turtle Beach use, isn't that great (PCB is A1) & the mic's Earth/Negative wire is only the copper
    sheilding around the main positive mic wire & causes sound issues like humming too.. After I resoldered all the headset wires again, the Mic is Clear & Precise + speakers are more resonsive..

    Ring up Turtle Beach Support & notify them of the problem & also say you are having major WiFi Interference too, as The Transmitter uses all the 2.4GHz WiFi Band too...

    The Turtle Beaches I have are wireless and sync via Bluetooth so they will fully work on it. Wired headsets however will not work for chat just audio only.

    Basically any headset that uses fiber optic audio and bluetooth chat will work on ps4 regardless of brand.
