    Wired Headset / adaptors for XBox360E


    HELP! I have an xbox360E model but cannot find surround sound(5.1) headsets which are compatible (Must be wired).I thought the Turtle Beach HDMI audio adaptor cable would sort the problem, but have read on a tech sitethat it is designed for the AV output
    port on the original slim console models, so would not be compatible with the HDMI on mine. Can anyone recommend any cables, adapters, headsets that I can use. Thanks.

    best headset with surround sound for x1

    They all plug into the headset adaptor for chat and with the X04 and X07 sound aswell as the headsets take there power from the controller .
    There would be no way to connect either of these headsets to a mixamp . Wired headsets connect to the mixamp with wires , the mixamps have no wireless function at all ( apart from the Astro A50 mixamp but that only comes with the headset itself .

    Any news on headphones ?

    I'm really hoping MadCatz is going to be working on a mic adaptorfor their WarHead headsets because I've only heard the adaptors werefor wired 1s. I'm thinknig maybe they should make 1 so an adaptor plugs into the headset jack,
    then the mic into the adaptor so it can at least function as it would normally with the headset and base station or however that works.

    Yes the stereo headset adaptor wire will work. It also states in the description you need the stereo headset adaptor by Microsoft the one for 17.85 as well. The wire and adaptor are both required to get your headset working. The cable you listed In your
    reply back to me and the 17. 85 xbox stereo headset adaptor are both required. The wire plugs in to the adaptor and the adaptor plugs in the Xbox controller. I have the elite controller with the headphone jack as well and it dosent work right in my testing.
    I know it sucks that you have to spend more money then you wanted too but unfortunately the only other way is to buy a new headset made for Xbox one. So buy the wire you stated in your reply post to me and the stereo headset adaptor for 17. 85 and your headset
    will work. Your x12s will have some issues with xbox one because they are not designed for the xbox one.

    All I know is, my spliced headset adaptor I made from the included headset is going to work fine for me until true wireless headset options come out (no wires between headset and controller)...

    Im having the same issue. Where did you get the wire to connect the adaptor and headset? I tried all the wires that came with the steelseries h and the only one that fit was the 3.5mm on both ends. I had to plug it in the 'share' plug of the headset. Is
    that something i need to buy 2.5/3.5mm cable? Thanks for the help

    P.s Did you perform the manual controller update with the adaptor and headset plugged in with the wire you have? Make sure to also have the controller mini usb connected to the usb of xb1 on the other end to perform the update.
