Wired controllers for xbox360

I have bought two wired controllers for xbox360 but when I plug them into the two USB ports at the back they both light up for player one and only 1 works. We wanted to have one as player one and one as player two for when friends come round to play. Can
anyone help?

Xbox 360 controller for PC audio(headphones)

I have 2 xbox360 controllers that I use with my PC(1 wired and 1 wireless) and I am trying to use it for audio with my xbox360 headset, but the audio quality is very poor and very choppy. This problem happens even with my wired controller, so the problem
must be with windows.

Are there any fixes for this problem?

 

2 Wired Controllers both "Sync" in the 1st Position (or as Player 1)

Two USB wired microsoft xbox360 controllers on the xbox 360 slim with kinect are synchronizing to the same player, so one of the controllers is unusable. The latest synchronized controller is always winning. If I unplug and plug in the not working controller
that one wil work again and the other one is not working anymore.

On a PC with Windows 7 both controller are working fine with different players.

The XBOX360 slim is not broken, nor the two wired controllers.

To help Microsoft to solve this problem I need an answer how the XBOX detects the wired controllers?

a) Use the connected USB port as reference?

b) Use the USB chipset of the controller as reference?

c) Use the serial number of the controller as reference?

Both wired controllers have the same chipset and serialnumber. The are from the same productione batch.

 

Have you tried plugging them into the usb ports at the front of the console?

 

just tried that but it didn't work. also tried one in the front and one in the back but no good. thankyou anyway

just to be sure, please turn the console off and disconnect it from the wall socket for at least 30 seconds. After that boot up the console again and try reconnecting the controllers to see if that makes any difference

 

till no luck. should it b compatible with two wired?

 

It should be compatible with more than one wired controller at a time. Please try plugging them both into the front ports then start the console with one controller only. Sign in with that controller and then turn on the other controller and sign in an
account with that one to see if it works.

Also, are these official Xbox controllers or 3rd party brands?

I have exactly the same problem : two wired,black,official controllers on my slim xbox 360 and they both show up as player 1 (the second wired works, the first one is blocked)

xbox support have no idea.

 

we never solved it. we even tried friends xbox and it did the same. I guess they re not compatible for two wired. perhaps people should be told this before buying a pair?
