Wired controller won't connect?

Discus and support Wired controller won't connect? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So I have a scuf controller. I use the charge wire for plug n play and it for some reason won't connect.     So I have a scuf controller. I use the charge wire for plug n play and it for some reason won't connect. I don't understand how this is possible because it's wired to the console. It's turning on but it just flashes like 7 or 8 times and shuts off. Tried
    syncing. Tried hard restarting Xbox multiples times. Not sure what else to do. Also, when I put batteries in it, for whatever reason it seems to work fine.

    The Xbox forums does not cover support with Playstation hardware.

    Our suggestion here, have you attempted to ensure that the USB ports on the console are all functioning? Have you tested other USB ports in general?

    Having problems with my wireless headset.

    Troubleshooting doesn't help. Headset connects to port one and as soon as I plug in my wired controller, the controller connects to port 2 and they won't sync together.

    Is the USB cord connected to the controller and can't be removed? Or are you using a removable Play&Charge cable?

    Usually, when the controller shows two alternately flashing LED's, it is a sign that the batteries are almost empty.

    If it's a wired controller, it could be, that the wires in the cable are broken, and you have a loose contact in one of the wires (maybe because the cable was bent too much or too often).

    In that case, the PC won't recognize the USB device properly, and in the case the controller was connected, the wire inside the cable lost contact, and then connects the broken wire again, the controller might be detected as a new controller device, and
    is then assigned the "Player 2", "Player 3" or "Player 4" LED quadrant.

    Sorry, what you're trying to do won't work. The simple answer is that 360 wireless controllers were only designed to work wirelessly. They don't have the functionality to send instructions via a wired connection.

    The Play and Charge can only charge the battery - or power the controller if no battery is present.

    You'll need a gaming receiver or a wired 360 controller. Only Xbox One controllers can use both wired or wireless connectivity with a PC.
