    wired controller not working???


    hello a while ago i bought a series x and recently got my first pc. now i don't play on keyboard so i thought i could use the series x controller to play games. But sadly it cant connect via usb c. I would love to play my pc with this controller as money is a bit tight right now. please give me advice!

    edit: it vibrates when i try to plug it in but does not turn on if that helps

    This issue can happen if you're using a damaged or incompatible USB cable; ensure you are using a USB data cable to connect your controller.

    It's a common mistake, since these cables visually look the same. But a charging cable only charges, it cannot send a data signal which is necessary for your controller to connect to your PC.

    If it's still not working and you're unsure if your cables are compatible, it may be best to purchase a new USB data cable. Amazon lists cables as data cables if you need to purchase one. Other retailers will also list data on cable packaging.

    I have an original 360 controller and it doesn't work
    Is it a wired controller?

    For 360 controllers to work on PC without any additional hardware, they must be wired. The 360 play and charge for wireless controllers
    won't turn a wireless controller into a wired one. The reason is simply because the play and charge can not send data, it only provides power.
