Wired Controller Connection Issue

I purchased a wired Xbox controller from someone which didnt come with a charging cord. I then purchased the Xbox Play & Charge Kit (I needed a battery pack for a different controller). The cord in the kit doesn't fit in the wired controller I bought.

Xbox Play & Charge Kit work with original Microsoft Xbox One joypad and the cable that you need is a simple USB Micro-A that you find in the Xbox Play & Charge Kit.

Is the headset wired or wireless? If the headset is wired, it could be an issue with the cable connecting the headset to the controller.

Same issue here on my PC with Xbox One controller and wired connection, a real shame as I like the controller otherwise.

Unfortunately, none of the methods solved my issue. My controller will still not connect unless it is wired.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. You can go to Device Support. What is exactly the issue with your controller? The controller should be able to connect Via USB cable or wireless. Try this troubleshooting out see if it helps.
