Wired controler dosnt charge

So when I got my xbox 360 s back in 2010, it came witha wired, or rechareble controler.So today, i went to take out my controler and the charging wire to recharge the controler, but it only recharges when the controler is leaning against somthing and it
has to be standing upright. The wire connects to the xbox, just like a USB thumb drive. So now i can only use the controler when its disconnected from the wire. Any idea why this happens?

Are all Xbox One Controllers going to be Wireless?

Well if your a competitive gamer there is a noticeable latency issue. The new controllers don't use the usb simply to charge any more. It turns the controller into a wired controller, which was an intentional design aesthetic so that competitive gamers no longer have any lag by simply turning the controller into a true wired version. So you essentially have 2 controllers in one. This is not possible with the 360 since when you plug in to charge, the signal is still being received wirelessly.Click to expand...

I never noticed that much latency in input when playing wirelessly, maybe it's because the console is really close to the controller? The only time i have them wired is when i am charging them and playing at the same time.

Wireless Controller & Charge Kit

isnt the new xb1 controler comming with a cord to connect for charging?

i have a usb to controler cord on my 360.. i love it.. and its odd how much it stays plugged in and it dosnt bother me in the least. i do connect it to play games or what not from time to time but most of the time its not an issue and is always charged..

Well you've answered the question yourself it's a faulty cable get a new recharge kit if it only charges when you push it up against something or at an angle the cables are out of place inside of it

I got a wired controller for Christmas and I'm really liking it. Normally use a wireless one but really it dosnt make much difference for me. Wired controllers are faster but its not much like Milli seconds

That's your problem, right there. Unfortunately, if you connect your wireless Xbox 360 controller with a charging cable, all your doing is charging the controller.

The 360 wireless controller can't be turned into a wired controller with the charging cable as neither the controller or the wire were designed to send data this way.

You either need 360 wired controller or an Xbox One controller. Xbox One controllers can use wired or wireless, but wireless is only supported via Windows 10.

controller does comes with a wire... it is to make the controller a wired controller... as opposed to a wireless.... just it will not charge anything.. once plugged into the controller.. it looses connection with the batteries .. so charging is out of the
question.. we will need a P&C kit
